I'm So Vain

After 10 years of marriage we have finally decided to become a two car family. Adding another to the family took some research and some savings, but we finally adopted her....

We got a 2004 Honda Pilot EXL. It has leather (including heated seats) and a DVD player. We weren't necessarily looking for those features but once we drove it around for a bit we fell in love. Welcome her to the family.
A van would probably have been a little bit more practical but I just couldn't do it. No offense to the van drivers but I can't picture myself driving one. Vans do have more room for the kids to get around but this purchase was all about me. I look so much better in this than I would in a van. Isn't that what it is all about, how good you look while driving around town?

I am equally vain Bess. We also own a Pilot, which I ADORE, because I'm just not a van kinda girl! We also are able to enjoy the leather seats and DVD player and let me tell ya, driving with little ones is about to get SOOOO good! Congrats!

Bess,
Hey there! I got your blog address from CAP. I've been desperately searching out blog addresses of old friends to get back in touch and see what's up in people's lives. Your kids are darling! Congrats on the new little one (the baby...and the car too). Hope you don't mind if I check in once in a while. If you want to see news on us check out www.weaverfam.blogspot.com .

She's beautiful! I really think she has Bess's eyes.

If it was really all about your vanity, Bess, you should've gotten a transparent, glittery rocket. Now, you would have looked REALLY good in that.

Very exciting. We, too, are hoping to avoid the all-too-practical mini-van. We'll put off the decision until our brood has grown some more..

Dude -- vanity would be lashing the kids to the trunk of your Mercedes convertible with bungy cords.

I'm heading out to Cali to see my sister and Sarah, but will drop you a line once I get back!
