Laziness, Vacation, Kindergarten and Home Improvements

So we were pumped about keeping our blog updated and obviously that hasn't been the case. Now that the summer is winding down maybe we will actually keep it up.
What have we been up to? Lets see... we went to California for Jared and Miya's wedding, and we have been working on the house. Sounds really busy eh?
The wedding was beautiful. It was in an amazing park in San Fransisco. I have never ever wanted to live in California but after the trip I can see the appeal (especially NorCal). The weather was amazing and the coast was beautiful. If only I could remember where I put that million dollars. Then we could buy a little house in the ghetto. Anyway, It was amazing.
We have also been working on the house. We have finally painted the kitchen and hall. We put new hardware on the cabinets and hung (and wired) a microwave hood thingy. I love the extra counter space. We are also working on painting the front door and trying to figure out what plants to put in the ground. I am hoping to do some decent landscaping in the fall when the plants won't die from the heat.

Harriett turned five last month. I can't believe we have a five year old kid. She will be starting kindergarten this month. I am not sure I am ready for it. She is though. She woke up the day after she turned five and got ready to go to school. She was slightly disappointed that it would be a little while still. She will have a great time. It will be nice for me to have some one on one with Henri too.
Speaking of Henri, he will be one this Friday. He is getting more and more fun everyday. He has the wierdest sense of humor. He also loves to dance. We like him a lot.
